  • CPA since 1982. He is a former partner with Dickinson & Clark CPAs, PC. The CPA firm was established in 1991 with the merger of Ron Dickinson and Francis Clark as they established a locally owned accounting firm to bring together the benefits of their consulting experience with individual, corporate, and farm accounting and taxation.

  • B.S. in Business Administration from Hastings College in 1982
  • M.S. in Taxation from the University of Texas in 1986

  • Cycling: In 2014 Ron and his oldest son Matt rode their bikes across the United States on the TransAmerica Bicycle Trail. After having ridden on RAGBRAI for years, in recent years he has done bike tours in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Alaska.

  • B.A. in Economics and History from Hastings College in 1990
  • B.S. in Secondary Education from the University of Nebraska – Omaha in 1994
  • Has passed these security exams: Series 6, Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, Series 24.
  • Has over 20 years of experience within the financial planning and investment industry. Before joining our team in 2015, he worked with TIAA-CREF, helping those in the not-for-profit and education fields on their specific retirement and legacy planning needs.

Family:

  • He has been married to his wife Marjorie for 28 years.
  • Their son has graduated from college, and their daughter is a senior in college.

Faith:

  • He has been active in service at Faith Westwood United Methodist Church in Omaha.

For fun:

  • Associate degree in Bible from Grace Bible Institute in 1976
  • B.A. in Psychology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 1978
  • M.S. in Community Counseling from Shippensburg (PA) University in 1980
  • Worked as a professional counselor for 27 years.
  • Has passed these security exams: Series 7, Series 63, Series 24, Series 66.
  • Worked at TD Ameritrade in Omaha before joining our team in 2011.

Family:

  • He has been married to his wife Connie for 43 years.
  • Their oldest son is married and has four children.
  • Their second son is married and has three children.
  • Their daughter works as a registered nurse.

Faith:

  • Believer. Life group teacher at Riverview Baptist Church.

For fun:

  • Playing with his seven grandchildren
  • Cycling: Has been riding on RAGBRAI every year since 2000

Julie Steffen

  • Manages the software for our trading systems and generating reports and statements

  • Was born and raised in Omaha and has spent all of her working career in the metro area.
  • Married and has four children – including twin boys.
  • Lives in a small town east of Council Bluffs.
